Who is the best artist ever?
Who is the best artist ever?
That’s not an easy question to answer, and if you asked 10 people you would likely get 10 different answers. It’s a hard question, but it’a question that students in my AP Art History class are currently trying to tackle. ( it’s more a lesson in learning how to argue and defend, then my thinking that there really is one BEST artist) . And while much about art is subjective, there is also a lot of science, phychology and reason behind what makes a work of art “good”. One of the keys to being good at any kind of art, is understanding the basics of composition.
Understanding composition can take you from just another person with a pencil, Sharpie, Copic marker, or camera, to someone that really looks like a pro. Today I’m sharing a composition guideline lesson with you. This one lesson isn’t going to make you an expert, but it will get you off to a good start.
