How does an online art class work?
That’s the most common question that I get when people hear that I teach AP art and Art history courses online. My usual answer is that it isn’t that different. With technology, video, and photography we’re able to be well connected. Anything that I would usually demonstrate in the classroom, I can demonstrate through video. Then we have a live call every week, which allows students to ask questions, talk to each other, and receive feedback on anything that they’re working on.
The class calls vary in nature in week depending on your needs , as the student. It’s also students choice if they want to have their video camera on and talk out load, or if they prefer to use the chat box. For privacy purpose no student faces or voices are shared in this sample live call.
