An Easy Way to Plan Your Week
” The production of ideas, too, runs on an assembly line; that in this production the mind follows an operative technique which can be learned and controlled; and that its effective use is just as much a matter of practice in the technique as in the effective use of any tool.” James Webb Young.
As teachers and parents so often we complain that our students don’t know how to plan, have no clue about time management, getting overly frustrated when they miss deadlines. But are we teaching them how to plan and how to schedule?
Marie Forleo, life and business coach, says, ” If it isn’t scheduled, it isn’t real.”
I’ve come to find this motto true in my life and my students. What about you? Do things get done if they aren’t blocked out on your calendar?
In the video below you and your students are walked through process of backwards planning. Whether you’re teaching in the classroom, online, or at home, it’s important to help your students learn how to take ownership of their time.
