A Fun Way to Give your Students Sketchbook Prompts.

Over the years, I’ve reflected that while I had students working in their sketchbooks, I didn’t use them as much as I would have liked to. While I always have a sketchbook with me,  I tend to do more writing in it than drawing. I’d decided that sketchbooks have to look pretty, and be something that you’re happy to let others look through.

If they are pretty, that’s fine. But if they’re the exact opposite that’s fine as well. Sketchbooks are for experimenting, exploring, working out problems, and reflecting.

With a new mindset, I was determined to do a better job of exposing my students to sketchbooks. One of the things that I did that worked well, was to create a quiz, that provides students with prompts based on their results.

If you want to make your own or grab another one that I have done for you, you can read all about it in an article that I wrote, How to Use Online Quizzes for Differentiation.
