DIY Sketchbook
Most artists will agree that having a sketchbook is important. You don’t have to spend a lot of money on a fancy sketchbook. In fact, I often find the cheaper the better as you’re less worried about making mistakes and wasting money.
One of the easiest ways to create your own is to gather some paper. It can be computer paper, scrap paper, or any combination of paper that you can find laying around your house. You can even use things like paper bags or the brown craft paper that often comes in Amazon packages.
Fold the pages in half, until you have about 10 pages.
Next, design your cover. You can use another sheet of paper for your cover. I like to use old file folders or cereal boxes. Draw, paint, collage, do whatever you want.
Now it’s time to put it together. This is easier if you have a long arm stapler, and if you plan to start making all your own sketchbooks, it’s worth it.
Put your pages inside your cover, align your stapler, staple, and you’re ready to create.
