Welcome to Teachers Teach Teaching: A Podcast for Teachers

Posted in blog

I love trying new things, it’s how I learn. The other day I was sharing with a friend about how I like to set up experiments, in fact, I always have a few going. It’s also always been part of my teaching practice, I pick something that I want to get better at, then research, and try. I’ve been teaching online for 9 years, this year, I’m obsessed with helping students feel connected, seen, and understood.

Learning is always hard, in 2020 it’s a lot harder, for all of us.

When COVID hit, and many of you had to switch to teaching online, I wanted to make it easier for you. I wanted you to learn from what I’d done wrong and right over the last 9 years. While I’ve worked to continue to share content, I wanted to do more and had to figure out how that fits into my full-time job + my online teaching ( yes, I have several jobs, if you want to know more, feel free to ask). Then it hit me. One of my good friends and I spend a lot of time chatting about online teaching. It’s something that we’ve both done for years, and I thought…..

what if we recorded our conversations… aka…. started a podcast…

and let everyone hear what we’re talking about.AND That’s what we did. It’s raw and real. It’s us sitting in our houses, trying to balance all of the things, while also sharing all of the things that we’ve learned about teaching online art over the years, and it launches next week. Wed, Nov 11th, sign up below to make sure that you don’t miss an episode.

Also, even if you aren’t teaching online, you should tune in, we have some ideas for you too. I’m convinced that together, we CAN DO THIS. We can support students, we can make a meaningful impact. Share this with your teacher friends, and let’s make it through 2020 together.
