Schools out for summer, and you’re looking for classes and workshops where your child can have fun, be inspired, and make new friends, while you run errands, clean the house, or sip a cup of coffee with a friend.
When I was in elementary school I learned how to knit, crochet, and embroidery , which created a natural path to my love of weaving. Little did I , or anyone else, know that those lessons would lead to a career, and one that I love. I’m excited to open the doors of my studio to you and your children this summer, where they can learn to create, experiment, discover, and express themselves.
These one day workshops are created to fit your schedule. Continue to scroll to view all workshop options.
( Note: Velo ( a cat) and Peca( a dog) live here, while the dog is old and spends most of her time in bed, and spends no time in the studio, if your child is highly allergic to animals, this isn’t the class for them. )
Amber saw from first-hand experience that creativity education and creative thinking were sorely lacking within the school system and within our culture at large. So instead of hoping things would change, she decided to be the change. Deborah Kearns, professor
9 years ago I graduated from Messiah College with my B.S. in art education, and a few later finished my masters in Creativity Studies ( basically looking at the psychology of how the creative mind works). I’ve taught high school art for 9 years, and spend time on the weekends, either creating in my own studio, or running private workshops for all ages. (
Everyone, yes even you, has the ability to be creative inside of them, and it’s my goal to uncover your inner child, and bring the joy of creating back into your life.
