When I was much younger I remember going to a tea party for mothers and their daughters around mother’s day. I’m not sure what it was about the event that I loved, but it stuck with me.
So I’ve decided to create a mothers and daughters event for you and your daughters to share, and for you to create your own lifelong memories.
Who is this event for?
Mothers and daughters of any age.
What are we going to do?
– Relax
– have fun
– make art ( now before you start telling me that you’re not creative, artistic, and you can’t draw. This is a laid back fun, environment, and everyone well find success)
– We’ll also have tea, and coffee, along with some great snacks.
When is it?
Sunday May 11th from 3:30-5:30
At 154 N Prince St, Lancaster Pa 17603
How should I dress?
We’re gong to be working with paint, so first be aware of whether you tend to be a neat person, or a messy one, and dress accordingly. Be comfortable, and you’re welcome to bring along an apron or paint shirt to protect your clothes.
I can’t remember a time in my life where I didn’t love creating. Neither of my parents would tell you that they’re creative, or that they like art, however, they noticed my love for making and let me go with it.
This love of making grew, and became the foundation for my career as a teacher, and opened doors to my starting my own business, and running a gallery.
Amber saw from first-hand experience that creativity education and creative thinking were sorely lacking within the school system and within our culture at large. So instead of hoping things would change, she decided to be the change. Deborah Kearns, professor
8 years ago I graduated from Messiah College with my B.S. in art education, and a few later finished my masters in Creativity Studies ( basically looking at the psychology of how the creative mind works). I’ve taught high school art for 7 years, and spend time on the weekends, either creating in my own studio, or running private workshops for all ages.
Everyone, yes even you, has the ability to be creative inside of them, and it’s my goal to uncover your inner child, and bring the joy of creating back into your life.
Some people are born to create. Amber Kane is, without a doubt, one such person. Amber is wise beyond her years. She possesses all of the qualities of a well seasoned professional. She has dedicated her life to the pursuit of excellence in her craft and exhibition.
